Ginger and Walnut Slice | A team favourite!
If you're a fan of Ginger Crunch, you're going to love this quick and easy ginger slice recipe! Our founder and designer, Jenny has made this for the team several times and we can confirm it's exquisite! Definitely on the request list for when we get back together after lockdown.
Ginger and Walnut Slice Recipe
Base:
100g butter
½ x 395g can sweetened condensed milk
1 packet SuperWine biscuits (crushed)
4 tbsp chopped walnuts
4 tbsp chopped crystallized ginger
2 tsp ground ginger
Icing:
4 tbsp butter
1 ½ cup icing sugar
1 tbsp golden syrup
2 tsp ground ginger
Coconut shavings
✔️ Melt condensed milk & butter together.
✔️ Add biscuits, walnuts, ground ginger & chopped crystallized ginger.
✔️ Mix well and press into tin. Ice with ginger icing. Top with coconut shavings.
